Robotron: 2084 is a landmark twin-stick shooter released by Williams Electronics in 1982, designed by Eugene Jarvis and Larry DeMar of Vid Kidz. Set in a dystopian year 2084, the player fights endless waves of enemy robots — Grunts, Brains, Enforcers, Tanks, and Hulks — while simultaneously rescuing the last human family members scattered across each wave. One joystick moves the player in eight directions while the other fires independently in eight directions, creating the frantic split-brain gameplay that made Robotron a golden-age icon. This upright cabinet presents in good condition with the correct Robotron: 2084 black-and-blue side art, original-style marquee, and dual red-ball joysticks under a plexi-covered control panel overlay showing moderate wear. The original Williams CPU board has been replaced with a modern clone board (eTronTech/AMIC, JAMMA adapter, VGA out) — a clean conversion running Robotron art and attract screen. The LCD monitor (staff-confirmed) delivers a sharp picture behind the original bezel.
